Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the program.
My kid has zero coding experience - is that okay?
That's perfectly fine. Here's the thing: we're teaching something brand new—how to develop with AI in a way that's both creative and disciplined. This is cutting-edge. Even developers with 20-40 years of experience are learning this exact skill set right now: how to develop healthy, balanced habits around AI-assisted development.
Prior coding experience doesn't give anyone a head start here. Whether your child has coded before or never touched a line of code, they'll be learning something nobody was teaching until recently. They're starting at the same place as everyone else—and that's a good thing.
Will they actually LEARN or just copy/paste AI code?
No "copy-paste and hope for the best" here. Each lesson incorporates practical coding education. We teach kids to be coding-literate by understanding how functions, if statements, loops, etc. work. They learn to be able to read and edit the code their AI assistant creates.
The goal is to use AI in a disciplined and minimal capacity—as a tool, not a crutch. Students learn to lead and guide their AI assistants, and make informed decisions about their code. That's real learning, not blind copying.
My kid isn't 'techy' or good at math - can they still succeed?
Doesn't matter. In the post-AI world, the most important skills are communication and strategic thinking. Math skills are a plus, but they're not the focus anymore. If your child can imagine a game and describe what they want, they can learn to do so strategically via our method and create real technology.
What if my child falls behind or struggles?
They won't. With significant one-on-one instruction from our team and a 1:6 student-to-teacher ratio, we catch struggles immediately and address them. Everybody accomplishes the objectives—we guarantee it.
If your child misses a session, they'll get caught up when they return. The one-on-one attention ensures no one gets left behind. That's the advantage of small cohorts and personal instruction.
How much parent involvement is required?
Minimal. Before Week 1, you'll help install the coding environment on your child's computer—about 10 minutes with step-by-step email instructions we provide.
During sessions, your child works independently. You're welcome to observe if you'd like (especially early on), but it's not required. Many kids work completely on their own.
Between sessions, practice is optional. Some kids dive deep, others just show up for the weekly hour. Both approaches work. No parent homework supervision needed.
What happens after 6 weeks?
Your child keeps platform access for 3 free months to continue building independently. After that, platform access is $20/month if they want to keep using our KidSafe AI environment.
We'll have advanced cohorts available for students who want to go deeper. Plus ongoing support for students who continue with us.
Most importantly, they'll have the skills and confidence to keep creating—whether with our platform or on their own. The 6 weeks gives them the foundation; what they build after is up to them.
What are the technical requirements?
Your child needs:
• Access to a computer (Windows or Mac)
• Reliable internet connection
• About 10 minutes before Week 1 to install our coding environment (we provide step-by-step instructions)
That's it. We'll send detailed setup instructions via email with support available if needed. The installation is straightforward—you don't need to be technical to help your child get set up.
What's your refund policy?
Our Peace-of-Mind Policy: Get a 100% refund if you cancel within 2 weeks of having registered. After that, we'll work with you to transfer to a future cohort at no charge, or issue a credit for future programs.
Can adults sign up?
No, not yet! The skills we teach are applicable to all ages, but for the safety and fun of our students we are currently limiting the offering to ages 9-13. Please reach out if you are an adult wanting a program like this, because we might offer that in the future if we get enough interest!
